ALUMINIUM FRAME TOWERS,
LADDERS, STAGING, TRESTLES


Orchard Hire and Sales are a supplier of ladders, mobile aluminium towers, staging and trestles to customers throughout England and Wales. Trestles support a low-level working platform, four scaffold boards wide. Ladders are appropriate for gaining access to working platforms, but not for working off. All the ladders are over 3m in length, and must therefore be secured in place, or supported by a person at the base according to The Construction (Health, Safety and Welfare) Regulations 1996. Mobile aluminium scaffold towers are a simple, light-weight alternative to scaffolding where conditions permit.

Aluminium Ladder-frame Tower (Kliktower ®) — BS1139 Part3 (1994). To HD1004.
Heights up to 9m.
Lengths: 2m, 2.5m, 3m.

 Staging — aluminium box section stiles with non-slip strips underneath support a non-slip, resin bonded, plastic coated plywood deck.

Handrail Brackets (for Staging) — 450mm or 600mm. Can connect two stagings side by side. Attachments for toe-board and double handrail. Use aluminium tube for handrail.

 Galvanised Steel Ladder — Square, flat top rungs. Fully galvanised. box section stiles. Serrated rubber feet on both ends. Can be used either way up. Size 3.5m (single lift).
Timber Pole Ladder — European whitewood stiles. Hardwood rungs. Double varnished. Fitted with tie rods under every rung.

Aluminium Extension Ladder — EN131. Trade quality double and triple push-up, extending upto 10m. Extension roof ladders also available.

 Orange Painted Steel Ladder — Manufactured in UK to British Standards. Square non-slip rungs. BS2037 Class 1 strength criteria. Rungs tested to 250kg loading. High visibility orange epoxy coating for rust protection. Approximately 25% lighter than Galvanised steel ladders. Rounded edge stiles. Serrated rubber feet on both ends. Can be used either way up.

 Adjustable Steel Trestle — supports 4 boards at 1.2m centres. Square section tube. Spray-paint finish. BS1139. Adjustable heights:
Size 3 = 1.07 to 1.68m.
Size 2 = 0.76 to 1.17m
Size 1 = 0.51m to 0.71m.
trestle handrail bracket
 Trestle Fall-protection / Handrail Bracket — attaches to trestle top and holds up to three scaffold boards as a barrier. Can be used in pairs for a barrier both sides of the trestle. Incorporated single fitting enables bracing of the bracket for stability.
