Orchard Hire and Sales supply scaffold boards made from selected European white-wood timber that is from sources certified by PEFC (Programme for the Endorsement of Forest Certification). PEFC timber only comes from legal and sustainable sources. All scaffold boards for sale are BSI Kitemarked. Stocked sizes are 3.9m, 3.0m an 2.4m, but other sizes are available to order. Options include name plates, scaffplating, branding, different sizes, LVL (laminated veneer lumber), fire-retardant treatment and preservative treatment against insect attack, rot and decay to give extended life. The preservative used is Osmose Naturewood, a treatment used in construction, garden and landscaping timber. Preservative treated scaffold boards are better suited to being stored damp for prolonged periods without individual spacers for air circulation. |

graded to a 1.2m maximum support centre (670kg per m²). Selected european white-wood. BSI Kitemarked. BS 2482:2009
All scaffold boards fitted each end with galvanised hooping irons that are pressed in at the end and nailed round the side. Preservative treatment option (BS8417:2003). Fire retardant treatment option (BS 476: Part 6&7: 1997 or BS EN 13501-1). |

Treated Timber Boards — 38mm x 225mm in 3.9m lengths. Treated with preservative for long life and against insect attack, rot and decay BS8417:2003. These boards contain more knots than proper scaffold boards and are therefore unsuitable to be used as scaffold boards and similarly are not rated for taking any kind of load. The boards are suitable for ground contact and ideal in the garden for walking on to reduce soil compaction. |
